I know a lot of people who had a rough year (fires, health problems, moves, job loss, family struggles, etc), and for them, I'm glad to welcome 2014. For me, I hope to welcome in the new year simply because Jan 1 is another date on the calendar. I have had a great year (new baby, enjoy my job, good family/friends, and a great place to live).
