Don't worry, we won't close the door on summer just yet. Karissa (also known as Poofa) has learned to both open and close all interior doors already! Yikes. She enjoys the thrill.
Here she is mid-laugh. She is happy, busy, and full of energy.
Here is Alaina "practice swimming lessons". Don't worry, it took 2-3 times for me to realize what was happening here too. Don't you love the glasses? These were a gift from our storage in Utah. They are military googles from Riley's training years and years ago.
Turns out that they feel weird.
Snapped just after church last week. Big shout out to Shelley for the adorable boots. She loves wearing them and wears them everywhere.
Did I also mention that she can scale anything in the house? She has mastered the piano bench, the kitchen table, the honey container (used for getting on the kitchen surfaces). She is a regular ninja by now. She is barely 15 months.
She says lots of words and very much enjoys books. She gets very animated with her "roar" sounds for most animals. She can sing the tune to Go go Gadget Go! Her favorite words are "don't!, kinkit (blanket), mom, dad, abby, go, cat, sit, and who's it?"

Abby and her BFF Koraleigh at Koraleighs birthday party last week. She had it at a pottery place. Such a fun activity! Koraleigh will also be on Abby's first soccer team this fall.
Abby before church today. She is growing up so fast. She is intelligent, thoughtful, and engaged. She has learned how to sweep floors, unload the dishwasher, and clean the same jobs on a weekly basis this summer. She also passed Swim Level I.
Dallin received a great gift: a Paw Patrol treasure box. Has this been everywhere already! He loves treasures, handcuffs, locks, and anything mechanical. He turned six and is growing in maturity. He has learned to order numbers and is getting better at his reading. He has discovered that the vents from the master bedroom go directly into the hall outside his room. He loves that fact!
I couldn't get a picture of her smiling for anything because Abby took Starfall away from her. She starts preschool soon and she is a little leader. She is usually pleasant and a little tease. She loves to sing and read books. She also loves swings and drawing pictures. Her favorite things to make with play doh are balls and snakes.
Before church today I captured this one. Dallin is a great guy. He made the entire junior primary burst out into laughter today when the leader asked the kids what they should do if they saw something inappropriate on the computer. Another kid said "turn it off" and Dallin, without waiting an extra second, said "or just throw it in the garbage". He was so proud of his answer....
Dallin received this little surprise tonight. His watermelon finally ripened and actually cracked. He watered this and tended it every single day all summer long. He loves gardening. There were even ants on this watermelon.
